We conducted a Basic Tailoring Training Programme for rural women and adolescent girls to develop practical tailoring skills and promote sustainable livelihoods. The training covered fabric cutting, measurements, stitching techniques, sewing machine operation, garment finishing, and the preparation of blouses, school uniforms, dresses, and other garments. Participants also received guidance on entrepreneurship, small business management, product pricing, and marketing to help them establish self-employment opportunities. The programme enhanced participants' technical skills, increased their confidence, and enabled many women to generate income through home-based tailoring businesses or employment in the garment sector, contributing to their economic independence and family well-being.
